Event Sponsorship
The Mid-Minnesota Women's Center holds annual fundraisers, and offers donors the opportunity to sponsor the events. For example, The Mid-Minnesota Women's Center Fundraiser is held in October and the Alex & Brandon community fundraiser is held in May. Each of these events are attended by community and business leaders and offer unique opportunities for sponsor recognition. To inquire about sponsorship opportunities contact Vicki at 218-828-1216
Create an Event
Some groups or businesses – large and small - hold events of their own to benefit victims of domestic violence. For example, annual toy drives, children's Christmas parties, wine tastings, golf tournaments and hosted parties – all to benefit the Mid-Minnesota Women's Center.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month Online Silent Auction
September 2020
Dear Community Partner:
Mid-Minnesota
Women’s Center, Inc. has been providing victim advocacy services since 1978.
Those services have remained, even during a worldwide health emergency, as an
essential safety net for survivors of crime, who continue to be the paramount
focus of our organization.
National Domestic Violence Awareness
Month is right around the corner. With the global increase in domestic violence
cases during the COVID-19 pandemic, awareness and action are urgently needed.
This October, join us in spreading the message, activating bystanders and
sharing information that can help those who are experiencing violence during
this unpreceded crisis.
While our awareness and fundraising
efforts look quite different this year, we are more committed to our cause more
than ever. Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center, Inc. will host an online silent
auction this year in place of our annual gala that was canceled due to the
COVID-19 pandemic. It will be open for bidding on October 18th and
it will close on October 31st. You may view our online auction at https://www.32auctions.com/DVAM2020
This year our goal is simple - to
raise funds to continue offering life-saving services at the only domestic
violence shelter located in all of Region 5.
We recognize that many are stretched
thin financially, but for those who are not, we humbly ask you to consider
making either a monetary or tangible donation for our upcoming silent auction.
Remember, Mid-Minnesota Women's
Center, Inc. is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization #41-1324087
so all donations are tax-deductible. Donors will be recognized on social
media and various other marketing avenues.

If you
would be so kind as to donate merchandise for our fundraiser and then contact
us so we can coordinate a time to pick it up. We respectfully request all donations
be submitted by October 9th to ensure adequate planning, unless
other arrangements have been made. Together, we can help our friends,
neighbors and communities! Thank you for your consideration. We value and appreciate the support that has been given
to our organization in previous years and hope you will consider attending when
it is safe for us to begin hosting events again.
Sincerely,
Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center, Inc.

Cash for Lunkers- Fall Virtual Fishing Tournament
The Mid-Minnesota Women's Center Brainerd, MN. Established in 1978, our organization is two-fold. Our Domestic Violence Shelter is a 26 bed facility for individuals fleeing abuse. We offer safe shelter, resources and education for families experiencing Domestic Violence. Our other facility is the Alex & Brandon Child Safety Center. Here we offer supervised visits and monitored child exchanges. This facility was completed and opened in 2000. Alex & Brandon were murdered by their father in 1996 after their mother was denied supervised visitation for the children by a Family Court Judge in Sterns County. Although we are two separate facilities with separate staff, we share the same Executive Director and Board of Directors. We need your help!!!
With Covid-19 (no explanation necessary) we have (like all non-profits) lost all of our planned events and Fundraisers for the year. We have decided to have a Virtual Fundraiser Fishing Tournament. It will take place Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 Starting at 7:00am and run through Sunday at 1:00pm. You register on the Fishdonkey app. under MMWC "Cash for Lunkers" tournament.
