The Women's Center has been empowering victims of domestic violence through a variety of programs since 1978. Providing a 24-hour emergency shelter for individuals experiencing domestic violence and their children. In addition to physical safety, the shelter provides personal advocacy, information and referral, support groups, and community education. The Alex and Brandon Child Safety Center provides safe visits and exchanges for children.
The Mid-Minnesota Women's Center holds annual fundraisers, and offers donors the opportunity to sponsor the events. For example, The Mid-Minnesota Women's Center Brunch Honoring Women Fundraiser is held in May and the Alex and Brandon Breakfast is held in October. Create an Event
Some groups or businesses – large and small - hold events of their own to benefit victims of domestic violence. For example, annual toy drives, children's Christmas parties, wine tastings, golf tournaments and hosted parties – all to benefit the Mid-Minnesota Women's Center.
